Description
This student of nursing, now in the first year of her B.Sc course, has approached Aalayam for help with her college/hostel fee. Her father is working in a courier office and earns only 150 Rs/day. The student’s mother works as a housemaid. The younger one is an autistic child and taken care of by a special school.
The small family has been staying in a rental house near Chennai. Parents want the beneficiary to choose this course, so she can take good care of her sister. The college and course were chosen through counseling, the yearly fees were around 1 lac. She will get some help from Govt for the first graduate in the family.
However, the family has not been able to secure support towards the fees and has requested Aalayam’s help. After review, it has been decided to support the candidate with a sum of Rs. 40000.
