#20191102 - Smart TV for govt school to improve interactive education methods

An appeal for a SMART TV has come from the headmaster of a government school, which has been visited by Aalayam volunteers. The school is working to improve interactive education methods through some learning apps. 

The school has two 32-inch TV, which was bought by teachers pooling in money. This set is installed in one of the school’s three buildings. Students come here to view the educational apps but those sitting in the last benches are not able to get a good view. 

Now the school is seeking TVs (40 inch) to install in the other buildings so that more students can benefit from the interactive learning. The students and teachers are also keen to watch some programmes telecast by the government on education.

The school has requested the equipment in kind, not cash. Aalayam hopes to raise Rs.25,000 towards the purchase.
